Soda Ash

SODA ASH is a white granular powder used to reduce the hardness of mixing water and increase the pH value. Drilling fluid products, such as bentonite and polymers, are less effective in hard water. By adding a small amount to the mixing water, the calcium in the water is converted into insoluble calcium carbonate. The performance of bentonite and polymers are greatly improved due to the elimination of calcium ions.
