Swell Gel

SWELL GEL is a special high grade montmorillonite bentonite from Wyoming USA, prepared for horizontal directional drilling. Due to the high quality of this bentonite, it is 2x more active than the European (OCMA) bentonite, which has been merely treated with active sodium. The swelling time of SWELL GEL is a few minutes, whereas for OCMA, it is a few hours. SWELL GEL provides drainage with high viscosity and carrying capacity and forms a uniform filter cake on the wall of the borehole with low permeability.
